Make Believe Campaign

2012 | LARGE SCALE VIDEO PROJECTION MAPPING | HD VIDEO LOOP

Sponsored by SONY, I was invited to create a large scale video piece to be presented as part of the First Public Urban Art Festival in Santiago, Chile, called "Hecho en Casa”.

GAM's artistic programming encompasses performing arts, visual arts and music, while also considering possible crossovers between disciplines. Their strong emphasis on performance, contemporary and urban dance, and live music, inspired the idea of the silhouette of a dancer who moves through the angular shapes that compose the building’s façade.

The pixelated figure highlights the point as a basic unit, which varies in size randomly as they move from one frame to another, creating a vibration within the silhouette. The work was projected for two consecutive nights on the façade that faces Alameda, the busiest street in Santiago de Chile.

Dancer: Brynne Billingsley
